Not only Poker

Achieving dreams

Posted in Asia,Daily stuff,Poker,Thailand by G on December 19, 2009
I remember when I started my first Swedish poker blog. It was about poker and about achieving my dreams. One of those dreams was to be able to live and travel in Thailand and South East Asia. And I think my writing down my goals and my journey, I was able to accomplish many of my dreams.

Now looking back on the road that I´ve been walking the last three years, I can see that I accomplished a lot of those things that I was set-up to do. However I haven´t really found the balance for it all. There are still things that I can improve. Or correction… there are many things I would like to improve. Yes. I have been very lucky and had a lot of fun during my travels. But it would be much more rewarding if I could have some balance to it all.

So I´m hoping that this blog will help to achieve a balance and successful road down the new path that I´m walking

Back in Sweden

So I came back early yesterday. It was -6 celsius, it was snowing and I was really tired. Not the optimal state of mind then, hehe. But feels good to be in the family home again efter 6 months or so staying abroad. Feels safe and secure indeed.

While I´m home, I hope that I will get some work done actually. And then I´m of for some meetings and stuff before christmas. Some pretty interesting stuff is going on. Hope everything will turn out really well. Let´s hope so anyways :)

Friday night and it´s poker and work on the schedule.  Good times =)

Track the results

Posted in Daily stuff,Poker,Uncategorized by G on December 13, 2009

When I  was playing poker for a living I was always tracking my results and kept them both on Poker Tracker and on an excel spreadsheet. This was a great way to for me to analyze my performance and to improve my game. And I think this would be a great way for me to apply this on other things in life.

I don’t know. But sometimes I think I could perform so much better in a lot of areas. I know what I want to achieve, but I get lost from the road that can take me there. And when I get lost, it takes awhile before I can get back on it. It´s like getting lost in the woods or something.

So  I will try to set up some kind of excel spreadsheet or something similar in several areas of my life to track my results and analyze them, to see if I’m heading in the right direction.

Wish me luck!

Getting focused

Posted in Daily stuff by G on November 26, 2009

I guess today is one of those days where the focus and my aim for reaching my goal are totally blown away. So, instead will try to write a few words in this blog to get some therapy and meditation for my thoughts that are spinning around in my head.  Could really be useful, I think.

Now in November 26th its about 20 Celsius outside, here on Malta. For sure, it´s nice to be able to go out in the sun for awhile and just enjoy it.

I put up some goals for 2010. I am going to try to put up some kind of schedule for me to help me accomplish my goals.

It includes in short: More exercise, more poker, more travel.

And everything will in the end also help me to accomplish my job even more effective.

Have a great day!

Beginning of November

Whops! I was supposed to post regular on this blog.
But I guess something else came up, hehe.

It´s already November and time is flying past really fast. The weather on Malta has become less warm. On a good day we can have 20+ and sun. But like today its 17-18 Celsius and local rain showers. I guess summer is truly over now here on Malta. But hey… It´s not snowing like in Stockholm ;)

Started out today with writing some poker news on Cardlovers about the HU WSOP Main Event 2009 and a poker article about Stu Ungar, or more like a collection of the documentary that was made about him… “The Rise and Fall of Stu Ungar”.

This weekend was filled with parties and barbecue. I was all-in on Friday, so Saturday was a little bit easier. Though Saturday was really cozy with barbecue and stuff.
